In a cacao ceremony the group shares a warm drink made from ceremonial cacao – much stronger than hot chocolate, without milk and barely sweetened. Many describe it as heart-opening and gently energising. Around the drinking there is usually an intention, meditation, music, dance or a sharing circle. Full moon and new moon rituals are listed here too.
In Zurich, cacao ceremony currently happens most often at Jurte Stadionbrache, So Loveherb and Soul Atelier Winterthur. Monday is the busiest day. Most prices are between 40 and 48, typically around 48 CHF. 10 organisers offer 16 dates in the next 6 months.
How much cacao do you drink?
Usually one cup with about 20 to 40 g of cacao. If you are sensitive to caffeine or take medication, ask for a smaller dose.
